About MacITSupport & gsm ...
MacITSupport.co.uk is the web site of gsm, a Macintosh systems
support consultancy started by Nick Gillard in 1994. Having previously
been the systems manager for the London design company Coley Porter
Bell, Nick left to setup a service to offer the same benefits of
a full time IT manager to the many design and creative companies
who were not large enough to justify one. Hence was born the concept
of time-shared systems management.
Since that time, Nick has worked with a select number of companies
at any one time providing consistent, long-term systems management.
Previous contract clients have included:
Coley Port Bell , WMH , The Body Shop , RSCG Conran Design , Lloyd
Furguson Hawkins , Haines McGregor , The Brand Union, ergo , Brewer-Riddiford
, The Media Trust & Johnson Naylor.
In 2001, Nick moved to Liverpool with his family to work part-time
for a children's charity called Kidz
Klub and continued to provide systems management to a few companies
in London part time. In 2004 he closed the London business to take
up a full time post heading up Kidz Klub for a year during which
time he also launched THE4POINTS.
Since September 2005, Nick has gradually re-established gsm in the
North-west of England providing industry leading systems management
to Mac based companies in and around Liverpool & Manchester.
In 2006, The BookYard was
launched offering top rates for dead or faulty Apple iBooks, PowerBooks
& MacBooks and selling refurbished laptops and spares.
If you are a Mac based company and would like to know if Nick is
able to provide systems management and support to your company,
